what's a jet flame?

Low mass, insulated Rocket stoves have been shown to reduce harmful particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) by about 40% in USAID field tests. While useful, natural draft Rocket stoves could benefit from increased airflow. Building on forced-draft combustion research led by Global Good, the Gatesfunded invention fund at Intellectual Ventures, we have designed a new stove insert that uses a fan to increase

airflow and combustion efficiency. The Jet-Flame reduces emissions and makes more efficient use of larger –and even moist – wood pieces. The Jet-Flame is also compatible with Three Stone Fires and earthen stoves.
